Education

The education is very important for all people, because with education we have more opportunities in the life. While there people that not studied and they have a work and this work is enable to live, sometimes that is insufficient.

With a good education we can have more and better opportunities to work, and a that way have live better and we can work in something that make us happy.

But not everybody have the possibility of have a good education, because exist a social inequality, but now we have a lot of schools that are pay free, and higher education is free for the people that can’t pay. I’m think that the problem are in the family and the environment in that live the children, if children don’t have parent support or an incentive, or maybe they live in a bad environment, is probably that children follow this example and not have motivation for studied.

By the other hand, the ways for access to higher education maybe don’t be the best. In the schools the students are prepared for a test and depending of this is where you can study. All this encourages the competitive and i think that the real motivation is lost, where you study don't define who you really are, the different universities and institutes don't must make us a better or worse person.

Everybody must have access to the education and is good that it requires a little of effort and dedication for get it but this education must be equal and give us the same opportunities

I believe that Isabel Allende expressed of a good way the problem of gender roles in the society, how the women are underrated in the society just because they are women, because the society have the conception that women are inferior than men, and it is something that we must change as society, and as country.

In Chile we have advanced in this topic but there situations that we must change, I can say that in general, men and women have the same opportunities of jobs but we don’t have the same salary because the people yet have the conception that the women are inferior than men, sometimes the companies prefer don’t give job to young women because they can get pregnant and it is not convenient to the companies, and I believe that it is unfair, having children not make us less than men and women we can do the same thing with or without children.

By other side, in Chile sometimes there particular situations that show us that the machismo is a problem yet present, aren’t many situation but we can’t deny that it exist. This situations are commonly by jealousy which finish in big problems.

Maybe as society we ignored that sexism is present, but I believe that is something that is present every day in the life, in little thing like when we say that the girls can’t play with cars or boys can’t play with dolls, or in common situations in our house; for example when the grandma gives the dinner to the grandpa first than the rest, well, some situations that we learned since we were kids…

Well, today this are different than years ago, the society change and the way of think change, in my opinion the sexism isn’t strong like years ago but lamentably it is present in the society, the change being with us, we can make the difference for a good society .  

How must be a architect?

I really thing that is very subjective that we can say about how is a good architect, we can say so much thing.

But, well, in my opinion an architect must be hardworking, the architecture career is difficult because you have so much think that do every week and it’s very exhausting, but we learning whit this, this work make us better architects. Besides must be an integral person, many adjectives form an architect, like the responsibility, creativity, organization, empathy, etc. I believe that the most important is that the architect be observant, whit this I want say that the architect must see his environment and know what thing are necessary to improve for the people have better condition of life or they can feeling comfortable every day. An architect must see how is the best way of building in a determined place for contribute whit the urbanism and not make it a bad place.

And well, what’s your opinion about how must be an architect? 

FAU experience...

Well, how I got here? I always liked the theater, not just acting, all about theater, but everyone say to me that it isn´t a good career and I will don´t have a good future because in Chile is very difficult be artist, and they have reason, this career can be fun but then, when I must working maybe I haven't so much money or I don't have work, despite this I decided came to Santiago to the special test for enter to theater in university of Chile because I think that I would have more option of work, but like one week before of the special test I regretted to go, maybe because the social pressure was so much. as I has lost my opportunity I said that I would study theater design, but it isn't well know career and anybody supports me, I searched other option, and I think in my abilities, I’m good in math, art, history, so I decided study architecture, because this career had these subjects or a little bit each of these subjects. 

My family support me, and they was very happy because finally i had decided, they think that architecture is a good career and then I will have a good future but it’s a stressful career, they always trust me and say that I can do it.

The first days in here a felt sad, because I missed my family (I’m from Santa Cruz, sixth region), in the university I felt out of place, I wasn’t sure if this career was for me or was that I really I wanted for the rest of my life and I cried because I was afraid. And now I’m afraid to, not so much like the first week but it’s difficult, the university is very different of school, you have more freedom and nobody say you if something are bad, you are responsible of yourself. I know that it’s necessary for the future and I do it, although it be difficult and exhausting, and math are complicated and I don’t have time for doing things that I like, I give time to the career and I wait to finish this.

My Vacations

In my vacations I was the first days in my house because I had a work near of my house, I was nanny, because of that I couldn't go out with my friends, but it was a very interesting job, I learned a little bit about children. I just worked monday to friday in the moorning but I didn't many things because the children were sleeping all morning and just sometimes I had to give them breakfast. well, when they didn´t sleep we played card game or table games. This job was fun but sometimes it was very boring.

After I leave that job and a decided stay in my house for help my mother whit the housework and I could wake up so much late, those days were very relaxed.

In february I went to Pichilemu and I stayed whit my parent´s friends, every day I ate seafood but it was fine because I love this food, in the afternoons I went to the beach with my family and then we ate in some restaurant. I liked stay a long time with my parent in this vacations because they are funny and they make me happy. 

In my holidays also I met with my friends and we were going to buy clothes or just talk about our lifes and what we were going to do when the holidays are finish, and I read so many books and sometimes I was to the pool in a house friend with my brother, but in general I didn´t many things in my vacations, besides it were short.
